The Ramón Oviedo Art Gallery inaugurated an exhibition of paintings entitled "Friends of the Night" by this Peruvian artist. He exhibited 24 works in oil on canvas, in medium and large sizes, with a mystical concept based on the figure of the owl, usually tinged with backgrounds in earth tones which gives each canvas an aspect of silent night, but keeping the brushstroke in Caribbean colors. In the sample are ghost owls figures that appear denoting or can refer to a marked eroticism.

For the Peruvian critic Luis Alberto Galindo, watching "Friends of the Night" contains many conjectures as the night in which friends or friends meet when the moon rises and the sun goes out, or the same world of painting. "This collection makes us walk with each one of his works the dual interpretation of the figures, where Venus and Mars are cast in translucent graphic under symbolic ghosts," said Galindo.

He was born in Peru and has many years based in Dominican Republic. He has worked as a restorer of works of Italian Art, Lima, Peru, Palacio del Almirante, Vicereal Art Museum, Fifth Dam, Alcazar of Columbus Museum, Palace of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo and the Cathedral of Valencia, Venezuela. He won the First Prize Drawing Regional Allusive Tupac Amaru and third place in the National Competition of Drawing and Painting, Lima, Peru. Has exhibited at the Cultural Center Ecuadorian "Casa Guayasamín" Santo Domingo, in the Museum of the Nation, National Institute of Culture, Lima, Peru, in Space for the Arts Omar Carreño, Venezuela, in the Association of Artists, Cusco, Peru, and in the Americas House Collective, Fire Festival, Santiago de Cuba.

Fue inaugurada en la Sala de Arte Ramón Oviedo la muestra pictórica "Amigos de la Noche" de este artista peruano. El exhibió 24 obras realizadas en óleo sobre lienzo, en medianos y grandes formatos, con un concepto místico basado en la figura del búho, con trasfondos matizados generalmente en tonos tierra que le da a cada lienzo un aspecto de silencio nocturno, pero manteniendo en la pincelada los colores caribeños. En la muestra aparecen fantasmas, aparecen figuras que denotan búhos y que pueden hacer referencia a un marcado erotismo.

Para el crítico peruano Luis Alberto Galindo, el decir "Amigos de la noche" encierra muchas conjeturas: como la noche en que los amigos o amigas se reúnen cuando la luna sale y el sol se apaga, o el mismo mundo de la pintura. "Esta colección nos hace recorrer con cada una de sus obras la doble interpretación de sus figuras, donde Venus y Marte están fundidos en gráficas traslucientes, bajo simbólicos fantasmas", señala Galindo.

Nació en Perú con muchos años radicado en República Dominicana. Ha trabajado como restaurador de obras de Arte Italiano, Lima, Perú; Palacio del Almirante, Museo de Arte Virreinal, Quinta Presa, Museo del Alcázar de Colón, Palacio de Bellas Artes en Santo Domingo y la Catedral de Valencia, Venezuela. Obtuvo el Primer Premio Regional de Dibujo Alusivo a Túpac Amaru y el tercer lugar en el Concurso Nacional de Dibujo y Pintura, Lima Perú. Ha expuesto en el Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano "Casa Guayasamín", Santo Domingo; en el Museo de la Nación, Instituto Nacional de Cultura, Lima Perú; en el Espacio para las Artes Omar Carreño, Venezuela; en la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos, Cusco, Perú; y en la Colectiva Casa las Américas, Festival del Fuego, Santiago de Cuba.
